The new protocols for adult basic life support and paediatric life support were introduced on the 28th November 2005.
People are concerned about having been taught the old resuscitation guidelines. You will continue to deliver these protocols until you either,
- Attend your next First Aid at Work Refresher (FAWR) course at the end of your certification period, or
- Attend a resuscitation update course.
We have updated all our trainers and assessors with the new protocols. We started to teach these as from the 1st of January 2006.
