This course complies with OFSTED (Early Years Regulatory Body).
The course is amied at the childcare sector this will include, childminders, nannies, playgroup workers, au pairs and people who work with children.
The course is normally delivered over two days of four evening sessions. The training will cover 12 hours. This course can be delivered in such a way to suit your individual requirements by negotiation.
The course trainer carries out assessments. Successful candidates are issued with a certificate valid for 3 years.

- Introduction to first aid and your responsibilities
- Primary survey, DRABC
- Unconsciousness and the recovery position
- Resucitation and Obstructed airways
- Shock
- Bleeding
- Fractures
- Burns
- Medical Conditions, Asthma, Meningitis, Anaphylaxis, Fits or Seizures
- Poisons
- First Aid kits and record keeping
The candidate fee is £70.00, this is inclusive of all course materials including, a course Handbook consisting of 48 pages, instruction, assessments and a certificate to successful candidates valid for 3 years.
